The mountains of North Carolina are the perfect setting for a holiday getaway. Located in scenic Western North Carolina, Brevard features the very best the area has to offer, from a relaxed, rural atmosphere to the conveniences of a modern city. Its pleasant, unhurried small-town environment is rich in natural beauty, cultural heritage, and social amenities. Brevard’s close proximity and easy access to major metropolitan areas like Asheville, Charlotte, Greenville and Atlanta make it an ideal place to live or visit. If you choose to visit, instead of staying at a large, impersonal hotel, why not try one of Brevard’s bed and breakfasts for a unique and personal vacation experience?
The Red House Inn is located in downtown Brevard, with plenty of shopping and dining experiences available within walking distance. It is also within a short driving distance of several local attractions, including the Dupont State Forest, the Pisgah National Forest, and the Brevard Music Center. The house was originally built in 1851 as a general store, and has since served as a courthouse, railroad station, school, and family home. Daniel and Tracie Trusler purchased the building in 2007. They renovated the guest rooms, bathrooms, and plumbing; in addition, they added satellite television, refrigerators, coffee makers, new mattresses, and high speed internet. In spite of the modern conveniences and comforts, the Red House Inn maintains the period features of the house, including sash windows and pine floors. There are five rooms available, as well as three vacation houses. 266 West Probart Street Brevard, NC (828) 884-9349
