A Brief History
The Key Falls Inn was originally the Patton House, which was built by Charles Patton, a native of TransylvaniaCounty, in the 1860s. The back section was constructed prior to The War Between The States; the larger front section was built after the war. Wood, sand and layered rock was hauled from the mountainside behind the home site; door, windows and hardware were purchased.
Key Falls Inn is a large Victorian Farm house comfortably furnished with many antiques and is situated on 26.87 Pristine Acres just 2 1/2 miles from Brevard.
Located next to the Gazebo are 2 handicap accessible bathrooms, the commercial catering kitchen area, storage as well as a garage for the owners. A gentle trail system has been built for an evening romantic stroll to the Key Falls waterfall.
The 26+ acres, with its long landscaped drive graciously welcomes you to our restful and historical home. New and returning friends will be delighted with the new, sparkling upgrades made throughout the inn - baths with cultured marble and tile, new paint throughout, totally redecorated kitchen and dining room, and revamped tennis courts welcome you. And the best part remains our value. Our rates have not changed in several years!
Rest through the day and sleep like a baby from the sounds of the bold creek that passes along the side of a custom built 2 bedroom 2 bath log home. The home features all appliances, fireplace in great room as well as in the master bedroom. Ask me to send you more pictures of just the cabin.
The Gazebo offers a massive fire pit with seating for outdoor parties for at least 50 or more. The creek passes along side with the trail head just off the porch. All you have to do is ask a quest how there stay was and it speaks worlds of the potential for your family or investment purchase.
The B&B offers 5 private rooms with private baths & a 1/2 bath, 2 bedroom 2 bath fully equipped owners quarters, large country kitchen for B&B, many native stone fireplaces. Key Falls Inn is a large revamped Victorian Farm house built in the 1860's w/ additions. Commercial catering kitchen for wedding etc. events, massive gazebo, tennis courts, river access, includes a 2 bed 2 bath log home, barn/shop. Property is ideal for private events for up to 200 with food. Events are currently booked with some openings into summer of 2010.
