Modern Style built & designed by an Architect

This Unique open floor plan home was designed and built by an architect for his own residence, and with the interior and exterior of his design work I feel he was far ahead of his time.  So you can imagine from the exterior to the fine details of the interior he thought of everything to make this a one of a kind home flow for proper use of space and a joy to come home to, work, live and play in.
The main level of the house is almost 1900 sq. feet of pure enjoyment. The first room you enter from the spacious deck and from a large level parking area without having to climb any steps, is what I call a den or multipurpose room. The room features plenty of natural lighting from the huge windows and would make an excelled art studio or upper scale shop. Not to mention the room has high ceilings. The room has carpet where most of the rest of the house has hickory or tile floorings. The room is a spacious 22+' x 17+'.
After leaving the spacious den or room of many uses you enter into the breakfast nook or main dining room if you so choose, or a room with many uses inclining high ceilings, you enter into the rest of the main level living featuring an oversized 14'+ x9’ breakfast nook with pantry, china storage and wood flooring. For easy serving guests just off the breakfast nook or second dining is well equipped kitchen with gas stove, stainless double door refrigerator, dishwasher, plenty of counter space, window overlooking the swimming-fishing pond, Then there is one of my favorites a private decks so you can grill your favorite foods just off the kitchen.
Once again the kitchen, open dining off the great room with views if the pond and front yard and a small peak a boo of a long range view, the large breakfast nook,  the great room, halls and sun room all feature the wide plank hickory flooring.
Next you enter into the great room with probably 17 foot ceilings of tongue and grove wood and the hickory flooring just sets the room off. There’s even a large flat screen TV that can be included with an acceptable offer. The great room can warmed on those cool western Carolina evenings by an oversized floor to ceiling masonry wood burning fireplace that features a heat-o-later for high efficiency. There’s nothing like a warm fire any time of year in our wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. The room measures 27+x19+ feet. And there’s even another deck to enjoy our cool summers and evenings.
 The main level suite offers a bath with a shower, tile floors, built in storage, and a bedroom of 13.8x13.4 with carpet.
The second level of 730+- square feet finished features the other 2 master suites with a loft area overlooking the great room. The current owners use the left hand master suite where it offers a private deck with peak a boo long range views of The Pisgah National Forest. The Bedroom is 15’9x11'7 and it too has hickory flooring. The bath features tile flooring, a jet tube as well as a shower.
