Electronics Firm Under New Ownership
I sold Eddy the property when he started his business here in Brevard NC and we too wil miss him. Sunday I say many cars thers so someone was working hard. We welcome the new owners to Brevard NC!
Sytronics, Inc., a high-tech manufacturer of electronic circuit boards near Brevard, is transitioning to new ownership and already has growth plans on the drawing board.
Eddy Ballinger, who founded the company in 1995 and moved it to a new building on Highway 280 near the Transylvania County line in 2006, has sold controlling interest in the company to Steve Region and Kunal Brahmbhatt, who will serve as President and Vice President, respectively.
“We wish Eddy all the best for the future and welcome his help during our transition,” Region says. “I have worked with him for years and look forward to providing our customers the same quality products and superior service that has built Sytronics’ reputation for excellence.”
Ballinger’s daughter, Allison Taylor, has served in many roles for the company for over 12 years, and will remain with Sytronics as General Manager.
Sytronics assembles prototype, pre-production, and production circuit board assemblies and offers engineering and design support as well as programming and test services. Sytronics also has mechanical, final assembly, and box build capabilities.
Region reports that their current goal is to double the company’s sales within the next three years. Their plan is to expand and diversify the customer base by installing new automated equipment. “The more we can automate, the more we can remain highly competitive,” Region says. “For some time, the industry has been moving from traditional “through-hole” technology, requiring considerable hand-soldering, into surface mount and wave soldering.”
